Providence is calling a Senior Tax Analyst to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to provide support and backup to the Director of Taxes through preparation and review of tax filings as well as documenting research related to these filings.
In this position you will:
Review of State & Local B&O/Sales Tax Returns.
Review all 990/990-T binders and follow-up with responsible parties.
Annually update related organization required disclosures.
Maintain current knowledge & understanding of existing & proposed regulations related to federal & state reporting for System's non-profit and taxable affiliates.
Research tax issues and document resolutions.
Develop and run training courses designed to provide accountants the basics needed to assist tax department in obtaining all necessary information for filings.
Assist with special projects designed to improve tax reporting and research activities within the Health System.
Coordinate and accumulate all information required to be disclosed on the 990s related to Community Benefits.
Coordinate required narratives with Communications.
Review required audit materials and meet with Federal & State auditors as requested.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
Minimum of seven years accounting experience preferably in a non-profit setting.
Possess knowledge of healthcare accounting and not-for-profit tax issues and standards.
Efficiency in Microsoft Office applications and tax reporting software.
