Manager, Environmental Services
(Full-Time Evening /Night)
The Manager of Environmental Services is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility in all public, patient care, and employee areas, to maintain the highest possible standards, and good public relations with all concerned. Position is accountable for the integration of WakeMed mission, vision and values into the performance of all areas of responsibility. Plans, directs and coordinates activities of supervisors, team leaders and front-line personnel to ensure all daily operations and special projects are completed. Will implement and maintain programs and procedures that comply with all regulatory requirements and meet the needs of our patients and visitors. Will ensure that all supplies, equipment, and productive time are utilized efficiently and that staff are trained appropriately through continuing education and process improvements.
Five (5) years of management/leadership experience required. In lieu of degree, an additional two (2) years of environmental services experience is required. Three (3) years of experience in healthcare environmental service management/leadership preferred. Experience with hospital bed tracking systems and patient satisfaction reporting is preferred.
