ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
Take responsibility for the optimal efficiency, effectiveness, and oversight of environmental services for The MetroHealth System, including all clinic and satellite operations.
Direct activities related to environmental hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation services for patients, employees, and visitors.
Ensure that all practices and supplies meet current infection-control principles, regulations and guidelines, with a focus on reduction of hospital-acquired infections.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of progressive leadership experience in a large, complex operation OR five or more years of progressive leadership experience.
Thorough knowledge of environmental services including floor care programs, trash removal, infection prevention and sanitation procedures, education and training, as well as procurement and storage of chemical and supply items.
Knowledge of infection-control and prevention practices, quality-improvement practices, monitoring, and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in business.
Five or more years of environmental services management experience.
Three or more years of healthcare environmental services management experience in a multi-campus health system.
Status as a Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP).
