PCSI is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and deliverance of the highest quality service for customer, while maintaining industry best practices. This role supports the Executive Housekeeper in resolution of customer and performance concerns, coordinating activities with other departments and agencies as needed. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who understands the hospital housekeeping environment and can leverage people and resources to meet the customer’s expectations. We’re looking for someone who is a a self-starter and has exceptional communication skills; someone who can step in as the acting manager in absence of the Executive Housekeeper. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with a diverse workgroup, such as veterans and people with disabilities.
Supervises the housekeeping staff, including shift supervisors and hourly employees. Plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates and evaluates assigned staff; and reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans for the evening/night housekeeping staff. Ensures supervisory teams follow professional development plans.
Serves as the acting manager in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
Provides technical support to supervisors and staff. Makes presentations to housekeeping and government staff. Communicates official plans, policies and procedure changes to the evening/night staff as needed.
Assures assigned areas of responsibilities operate within budget, including efficient use of funds, personnel, materials and time.
Ensures customer satisfaction and deliverance of the highest quality service possible for customer. Maintains industry best practices at all times. Conducts productivity studies ensuring maximum workforce balance and output.
Supports Executive Housekeeper in resolution of customer and performance concerns. Coordinates activities with other departments and agencies as needed.
Adheres to the established PCSI safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and two or more years’ experience (or equivalent combination of education and at least one years’ experience) in healthcare housekeeping within the last three years in a facility of comparable size. Experience in budgeting and scheduling preferred. PC and Microsoft Office experience to develop trend reports for monthly staff meetings as well as bed tracking systems experience required. CEH or REH via I.E.H.A. or certified through the American Healthcare Environment as a CHESP.
