OrthoGeorgia is a profitable, regional network of facilities with six offices, more than 70 providers, multiple MRI scanners and CT Scanner, two urgent care centers, and a large durable medical equipment department that provides comprehensive orthopaedic care for the heart of Georgia from the south Atlanta suburbs to the Florida border. The strong foundation established over the past 55 years, positions OrthoGeorgia to continue to meet the mission of excellence and provide for its patients first rate, comprehensive orthopaedic care. The surgeons of OrthoGeorgia are highly regarded national leaders in their field and are relied upon for skill and judgment by their medical colleagues and their patients.
This is a highly visible leadership position that works closely with the CFO, physicians, managed care payer representatives and staff to ensure the best practices, policies and procedures for revenue cycle management align with the goals of the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this Director will ensure efficient operation of the revenue cycle for professional fee and ambulatory surgery facility billing and collections. The RCM Director will directly manage two direct reports and a team of 52 employees who have oversight for the business office and patient access areas. Additional oversight will include healthcare information management.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of revenue cycle management experience in a physician practice setting. The Director must have strong knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPC coding and medical terminology, as well as an overall understanding of managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc.). The Director must be proficient in using analytical tools to effectively condense large databases into usable and meaningful reports. A bachelor’s degree is required.
