Director, Business Operations – UCH Transplant Center
The Director, Business Operations manages the business and financial operations, to include the service line revenue cycle, and administrative management activities of the Transplant Service Line which is comprised of a multiple cost centers and locations. Manages the service line's financial team and reviews and monitors all service line financial activities, contracts, marketing, procurement process, acts as liaison to various support services and manage special projects including business development.
The Transplant Center at University of Colorado Hospital has a rich history including world recognition for having performed the world's first liver transplant in 1963 as well as the first living donor liver transplant in the United States. The Transplant Center is the only comprehensive transplant program in the Rocky Mountain region that performs most solid organ transplants including heart, kidney, liver, lung and pancreas transplantation.
Prepares plans and budgets based on strategic directions, goals, policies and growth objectives. Monitors fiscal performance. Participates in the maintenance and operation of the physical facility. Responsible for maintaining all financial operations and records of the Transplant Service
Line including all related programs and outreach services.
Oversees business development and marketing plans and strategies for transplant services in conjunction with clinical stakeholders and system business development and marketing departments. Provides decision analysis activities for the Transplant Service Line for proposed new services.
Works collaboratively with the Executive Director Transplant Service, Senior Leadership, Clinical Leadership and other stakeholders on strategic planning initiatives.
Works collaboratively with Transplant Service Line Leadership Team and Service Line Medical Staff on the service line's cost savings and revenue enhancement initiatives. Monitors organ acquisition reimbursement to maximize revenue from Organ Acquisition cost report by working collaboratively with Reimbursement Services.
Directs and trains staff. Ensures competency, productivity and proper utilization of personnel. Provides leadership and sets standards of performance.
