The Director has oversight of all central sterile supply departments within the Health System main campus and participates in organizational strategic planning initiatives related to process improvement activities, multidisciplinary committees and other internal/external groups and professional organizations which impact the delivery of high quality personalized services across the Health System with a purposeful integration of services with other areas and emerging delivery systems for perioperative services and the Sterile Processing Department for all facilities. Responsible for managing the operations, evaluating manager and staff performance, demonstrating customer satisfaction (internal & external) within the designated area/department(s) and strategic and operational planning and program development. The Director is required to work collaboratively with the various clinical and administrative leadership to ensure that clean and sterile instruments are provided to our clinical customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Bachelor's degree, Masters in Health Administration or other related field. Considerable experience working in a health care setting including perioperative services/CSS. Knowledge of specific healthcare productions, instruments, equipment and their basic use, broad knowledge of inventory control, supply distribution, infection control, purchasing and production management are essential.
