Safety Operations Leader
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, oversight, and implementation of a medical center/facility’s integrated workplace safety and environmental, health, and safety programs and all related initiatives, policies, and procedures. You will lead the safety function for the medical center/facility and drive its success in workplace safety and environmental, health, and safety metrics. You will work in synergy with all other performance improvement programs and organizational goals. In addition, you will direct all efforts to ensure the highest level of employee and member safety and be responsible for occupational safety and environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance.
At least five years of professional safety experience
Five years of professional leadership in health care preferred
A BA/BS in engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, public health, or a related area of study; a master’s degree is preferred
Industry certification (REA, CHEM, CSP/ASP, CHMM, CIH) preferred
Experience leading change management initiatives and developing/implementing strategies and procedures across large complex organizations
Experience in collaborating, consensus building, influencing, partnering, and service orientation
Experience in financial management of resources and assets
Experience designing, developing, and implementing project plans and programs
The ability to work effectively in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
