As the marketing manager supporting Mayo Clinic's search marketing and digital marketing attribution efforts, you will play a critical role in Mayo Clinic's performance marketing initiatives.You'll work closely with marketing colleagues across the organization to develop and implement marketing strategies aligned to business objectives and our mission of providing hope and healing.

The Marketing Manager takes an active leadership role across Mayo Clinic to understand business objectives, and builds marketing strategies and plans to support those objectives. The Marketing Manager provides expert strategic marketing consultation and guidance to various clients, and leads through influence without direct reporting relationships. The Marketing Manager drives, implements, monitors, and measures results of marketing activities to advance Mayo Clinic's mission, strategic plan and business objectives.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for market intelligence through identification and analysis of internal and external data relevant to the market as well as a thorough assessment of the "competitive" environment associated with a project, synthesizing findings and developing strategies to appropriately position Mayo Clinic.
The Marketing Manager manages complex and cross-functional projects through entire project life cycle, from project concept through launch, to achieve objectives, and measures results against business needs. Responsibilities include measuring and reporting outcomes; responsible for assigned marketing budgets.
The Marketing Manager serves as a role model for others and represents Mayo Clinic internally and externally.
Conveys confidence, clarity and transparency in communications with stakeholders and leaders, and represents marketing on key institutional committees.
Proactively contributes to business planning, marketing planning, and strategy development.
Leads teams and provides leadership to others, including contractors and third parties, to deliver results.
May manage vendor and/or agency relationships and functions as the lead in the vendor selection process.
Works closely with patients, physician leadership, governing committees, and the general public, as required by a project to lead it to its completion.
Importantly, develops trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.
An understanding of current and emerging digital technologies is desired. Experience working with digital agencies will be beneficial.
Knowledge of Google Advertising including AdWords certification, Bing Advertising, Google Analytics certification, market dynamics, tracking and outcomes reporting is desired. In addition, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics will be beneficial.
Requires a transcript of strong academic performance in, and successful completion of, a master's degree, and 7 years of experience in marketing; or a bachelor's degree in a related field, 10 years of experience in marketing, and completion of a master's degree within 4 years of hire.
Relevant experience to include:
Multiple years of search advertising experience managing multiple large search advertising accounts in Google and Bing
Strong understanding of advertising attribution options and tools
Project management experience is required.

Proven execution ability, including digital marketing experience. Must be able to work effectively in a consensus-style and collaborative environment that expects and promotes teamwork. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, and have experience in effectively meeting deadlines on-time with a quality product. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Will work independently and collaboratively to prioritize and drive forward multiple projects. May require experience with marketing automation. Must possess high personal motivation supporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, and creativity. Experience in managing vendors, and/or agencies. Will require experience with understanding data, surfacing trends, and working with digital and advertising channels. Must require experience working with target audiences, market research, and competitive landscape evaluation. Has a positive influence on others. Comfortable with ambiguity and a proven track record of synthesizing multiple, perhaps conflicting inputs and converting them to cohesive action. Position requires occasional travel and the flexibility to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3922.40, based on a full-time position.
