In this role, you will supervise the work of housekeeping personnel performing cleaning functions in the Hospital. You will be responsible for training new employees; inspecting individual work areas for cleanliness and orderliness; expediting work by making reassignments to cover absenteeism or emergency situations; supervising the moving of furniture and offices; and rearranging and assembling hospital furniture and equipment. In addition, you will ensure compliance with hospital waste removal and compliance with all policies and procedures.
At least three years of experience in a hospital class equivalent to or higher than housekeeping worker, or the equivalent of two years of increasingly responsible experience, including one year equivalent in a supervisory capacity in a large hospital housekeeping department (completion of an approved Housekeeping internship will be accepted in lieu of the required experience)
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (required for all positions at John George Psychiatric Pavilion and certain positions in the Emergency Department)
