Vice President, Quality UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Pittsburgh, PA The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is a progressive and highly regarded $21 billion health care provider and insurer, recognized for inventing new models of patient-centered and cost-effective accountable care. UPMC Shadyside is a 517-bed, Magnet-designated tertiary care hospital that has been serving the residents of Pittsburgh and the tristate area since 1866. UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside, home of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, is consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best cancer programs in America and is the only nationally ranked cancer program as well as the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the region. The VP of Quality is a newly created role which will lead all areas of organizational clinical quality and patient safety for both campuses for UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside. The VP will formulate, communicate, and implement a comprehensive strategic vision for organizational quality, safety, and performance improvement. In this capacity the VP will work collaboratively with senior management and the UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Quality Committee and leaders throughout UPMC to design and implement programs and systems which integrate care at the highest quality levels. Specific areas of responsibility include quality, patient safety and innovation, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance. The VP is expected to support the mission, vision, and values of UPMC and to be an integral part of the UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside executive management team. Qualifications and Experience:
