Plant Operations Supervisor Maintenance Full Time Days

Summary

The Plant Operations Supervisor supervises and coordinates employees working in the preventive maintenance; maintenance of plant operation/refrigeration trades, renovation, changes and additions to the hospital physical plant, including also to provide irection, supervision, guidance and technical assistance as needed for operating the plant off-shift 24/7, energy management control system, and computerized work order system; also with generating equipment such as boilers, chillers, medical air, vacuum; medical gases, and pumps. The Plant Operations Supervisor monitors department operations, engage in the hiring process, trains and counsels employees, completes departmental related paperwork and leads by example. The Plant Operations Supervisor report to the director for its immediate address/repair/replace of any discrepancies, malfunction, deficiencies, and breakdowns that could affect the normal function of the hospital Plant Operations to comply with the regulated standards.

The Plant Operations Supervisor must have extensive knowledge of life safety codes and Regulatory Agencies; AHCA, TJC, NEC, Life Safety Code, NFPA.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):

• High School diploma or graduate equivalent degree (GED)
• Strong electrical, mechanical and construction experience
• 3-5 years experience serving in a supervisor role related to hospitals, hotels or schools
• Strong leadership, communication and personnel skills
