Preference will be given to Candidates with 1-2 yearsâ�� experience with cycle count and inventory of medical supplies, and use of computerized warehouse management systems (specifically IMMS)
Maintains supply stock locations. Receives and processes various supply orders. Delivers supplies to the desired destination. Builds orders for stock replenishment. Replenish crash carts and trays. Maintains and cleans stock locations. Disinfects, stores and delivers moveable medical equipment. Loads and unloads materials within a warehouse or storage facility. Participates in physical inventory and cycle counts. Works under immediate supervision. Reports to a Supply Chain manager or supervisor. Performs a variety of tasks as assigned.
Skills Knowledge and Abilities
1.Reports stock shortages to supervisor. Maintains isolation and crash cart supplies to assigned level. Monitors sign out sheets for par cart inventory, adds new items to carts/storeroom as needed. Cycle counts completed and reconciled weekly. Stock is rotated per date received, expiration dates monitored. Provides supply lists to customers. Maintains clean work environment. Adheres to all Tenet/SFHM policies and procedures.
2.Counts par carts/enter counts into the IMMS. Restocks par carts using IMMS application. Keeps carts in neat/organized. Restocks warehouse/rotates stock, empty pallets returned to receiving. Orders/charges and tracks/cleans/delivers equipment to units. Enters counts in IMMS to generate pick tickets. Maintains current/accurate PAR cart sheets with new supplies and by bin location. Monitors/maintains approved inventory levels. Maintains supplies on specialty carts.
3.Establishes and maintains effective relations with customers. Contributes to the smooth operation of the department by assisting others with assignments and adjusting work and/or schedule assignments to meet department needs; promotes teamwork within the department and throughout the Hospital. Demonstrates telephone etiquette, excellent communication and customer services skills.
4.Stickers patient charge supplies and keeps CDM numbers updated. Participates in cost saving initiatives and makes recommendations. Patient charges are keyed per departmental policies and procedures. Utilizes time wisely.
5. Makes recommendations to improve workflow.Attends and participates in all meetings and mandatory in-services.Completes annual education competencies by assigned deadlines.
