Receives and processes all telephone and computer requisitions and special food requests received in the Nutrition Care diet office. Functions as a communication link between customers as well as the patient care area and the food service department.
Nutrition Services Associates will work in our diet offices, contacting and communicating with our patients and nurses.
Will gain a thorough understanding of our menu and specialized diets, to help guide patients in their meal ordering process.
Work with nursing to accommodate nutrition services requests throughout their shift.
Work with computer systems and menu software daily
Will track multiple data sets and completes daily administrative tasks
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
Communicates with patients about dietary guidelines and assists patients with ordering
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcome
Practices proper infection control methods including hand-washing, personal hygiene and infection control policies
