As a Patient Transporter, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with medical professionals and assist in providing outstanding service to our patients and customers. In this role, you will transport patients and equipment to and from nursing stations, clinics and ancillary areas.
This is a 0.5 FTE (40 hours per two week pay period), benefits eligible position, evening/every other weekend.
Monday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Saturday: 11:30pm - 8:00pm
Sunday: 11:30pm - 8:00pm
Tuesday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Job duties include:
Transporting patients to and from locations throughout the University Campus to facilitate service and assure patient safety.
Maintaining equipment and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery.
Demonstrating appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness.
Working with patients, families and all members of the medical team.
Ensuring patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks.
Providing outstanding customer service to patients, families and all members of the medical team.
High School Diploma/GED
Strong communication and customer services skills
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
Ability to lift, transfer and transport patients and equipment
