SUMMARY: The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the review, analysis, coordination, communication, and administration of product changes, additions or deletions. Provides detailed cost analysis to stakeholders for conversion/standardization opportunities. Coordinates product trials, conversions, completes changes to the Material Management information system, and provides product information to clinical and Supply Chain staff for ordering. Is a non-clinical member of/and provides analytical support for strategic sourcing. Works collaboratively with MDC Inventory Specialist on all product changes.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field. Minimum three (3) years required sourcing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Preferred experience includes a minimum three (3) years GPO contracts, purchasing and vendor product knowledge preferably in the healthcare field. Proven results in previous positions related to project management for GPO/local contract management, distribution supplier source changes/optimization and product conversions.
POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period. Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
