SSM Health has partnered with WittKieffer to seek a dynamic and innovative executive to serve as its next Regional President – Wisconsin located in Madison, Wisconsin. The Regional President will be a key leader within SSM and across the competitive healthcare landscape in Wisconsin. This is a unique opportunity with one of the country's top integrated healthcare systems to lead a large complex region that is strongly positioned for continued growth and success.
SSM Health, based out of St. Louis, has a rich history of serving their communities for the past 145 years. As a Catholic ministry, SSM Health is a nationally recognized integrated healthcare system with 23 hospitals, 40,000 employees, 11,000 providers, 290 outpatient sites, 10 post-acute care facilities, 450,000 covered lives through Dean Health Plan, and $8 billion in operating revenue serving 58 communities across four states. SSM Health Wisconsin is a $3.3 billion net revenue operation consisting of seven hospitals, a large physician enterprise and Dean Health Plan.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of SSM Health, the Regional President - Wisconsin will serve at the highest level of organizational leadership and operational accountability in the Wisconsin region. This next leader will utilize metrics and organizational vision to lead the development of short and long-term strategic and operational plans for the region. They will partner with a strong, broad group of leaders across the region and system to achieve system, network, and market goals with a focus on creating an integrated delivery network. Additionally, the Regional President will champion system initiatives while focusing on delivering best-in-class healthcare to the state of Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary and inspirational leader that can capitalize on a strong foundation of success while preparing the organization for the future. They will have an excellent track record of building strong physician relationships, organizational and community partnerships, combined with a performance-driven approach to operational and financial stewardship. They will be a diplomat and collaborator with a proven track record of successfully leading an evolving, broad, and diverse healthcare enterprise with a strong business and community focus. The new Regional President will be comfortable leading a mission-driven organization in a time of substantial change in the delivery and financing of healthcare.
