SUMMARY: Under Practice Manager supervision, performs duties relative to the day-to-day front and back office operations of the department. Supports the practice manager in maintaining a patient centric focus. Responsible for assisting with physician schedules, building scheduling templates, and supporting the clinic workflow process. In partnership with the Practice Manager, monitor metrics such as patient access, no show rates, timely scheduling of patient follow ups, AccuReg results, payor selection, patient wait times, and authorizations as well as several other indicators. Maintains proficiency as a super user in the clinic's EMR systems. Maintains expertise in terms of ASR & ACT job accountabilities and provides support to frontline staff engaged in a variety of work related to the front and back end processes. Responsible for assisting the Practice Manager with training and development of the staff.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a high school diploma or GED. BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. CPT-I or CPT-II required. A minimum three (3) years related experience required. Minimum of Five (5) years increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job is preferred. Leadership experience is preferred. Strong knowledge base of Ambulatory services within a hospital setting is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
