Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Full Time 1.0 FTE Physician Recruiter to join our WPMG HQ team in Renton, Washington.
The Staff Recruiter is a front-line member of the recruiting team and the first touch for all of our new medical and administrative staff. The position represents the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of WA (KFHPWA) / Washington Permanente Medical Group's brand and is responsible for communicating our mission, vision, and values to prospective candidates. The Recruiter is responsible for working with finance to confirm approvals in order to start the recruiting process. reviews CV and other candidate documents, performs phone screens, and provides the hiring manager with candidate feedback for further evaluation of the candidate's application for employment. The position is responsive for proactive identification of innovative recruiting and sourcing methods to ensure we are attracting and hiring the most qualified clinicians in their given field. The position may occasionally travel to attend regional and national recruiting conferences. The Recruiter works with the Recruiting Coordinator to schedule interviews, participates in interviews both in person and virtually, facilitates the offer process, writes and negotiates contracts, and works with the pre-boarding coordinator after an offer is accepted. The Recruiter works with Pre-Boarding to ensure an outstanding recruiting and pre-boarding experience for every new provider.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a thorough understanding of the business model and of each client need to effectively present opportunities to potential candidates.
Assist with the development of promotional materials, such as banners and posters to be used in recruitment events.
Create and document recruiting strategy for each open position partnering with the clinical leadership, including details about the position and a sourcing strategy.
Teamwork and Collaboration
Responsible for building strong, trusting, and transparent relationships with colleagues, candidates, and medical staff leadership.
Collaborate with the leadership to develop a recruiting strategy for each new position.
Consults with client groups throughout the recruiting process, including recommendations for selection criteria for interviewing, assessing, and evaluating applicants for suitability.
Provide appropriate feedback throughout the interview and selection process to advice leadership.
Ensures consistent access to recruiting services and rapid responses to requests.
Participate and/or lead global or local recruitment projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment team.
Attend and actively participate in department meetings.
Provide back-up to other team members as needed.
Pro-actively manage openings and develop and execute plans of action according to the challenges with that opening.
Responsible for CV/resume review and for analyzing candidates credentials and skill level in relation to the open and active position recruitment.
Conducts initial phone call with new candidates to assess fit with KFHPWA/WPMG.
Plan and execute recruiting updates to KFHPWA/WPMG colleagues and WPMG clinical colleagues.
Travel to clinic locations on a regular basis for meetings and interviews as needed.
Responsible for the recruiting process from requisition to closure in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Researches association publications, web sites and other appropriate resources on which to post physician opportunities and better understand the specialty.
Stays current on market information, not only locally/regionally, but nationally and by specific specialties.
Identify residency programs for out-reach and potential association.
Partner with sourcer on direct mail pieces sent to residents based on specialty and recruiting needs.
Responsible for building long term relationships with local residency programs.
Participates in residency recruiting dinners and events.
Responsible for following up on leads generated from the conference to develop candidate pipelines.
Researches and attends job fairs, conferences, and other physician recruitment opportunities.
Conducts and/or participates in job fairs and conferences which require occasional regional and overnight national travel.
Partners with sourcer on conference strategy, including pre-conference outreach strategy, happy hours, etc.
Process and Process Improvement
Participates in improvement activities and speaks up when there is opportunity to evaluate other options for a process.
Responsible for identifying, researching, and creating new processes as the recruiting and sourcing landscape changes.
Investigates and implements new ways to proactively recruit providers.
Maintain and update as needed existing recruiting processes as needed.
Prepares financial documents for appropriate Kaiser Permanente (KFHPWA) Clinic for the purpose of tracking expenses and reconciliation.
