This position will manage assigned national and regional managed care contracts and their corresponding national and regional contractual relationships while ensuring the management of contracts and relationships are consistent with corporate compliance standards and health plan management strategy established by your management team. Management of assigned accounts will include working with the lead negotiator to review contracts, rate schedules, solve assigned health plan issues, coordinate requests to resolve complex health plan matters with the hospitals/regions, freestanding centers, and Tenetâ��s physician group. The position will consult and communicate with appropriate parties regarding negotiation of national and regional agreements, conduct research for such negotiations, prepare reports, and review the performance of assigned managed care contracts.
The position will work on other projects for the Director and AVP of National Accounts in Managed Care that will affect national and regional contracts by performing the following functions:
Research, evaluate, and resolve complex contractual issues
Analyze and proactively develop action plans to address and/or prevent operational issues for assigned accounts
Ensure successful implementation of contractual requirements
Perform language review and manage financial analysis of managed care contracts
Monitor contract performance and evaluate financial viability of existing agreements and proposals
Bachelorâ��s degree in healthcare management, public health, accounting, finance, business, social or behavioral sciences with a Masterâ��s degree preferred.
4 years managed care account management experience is preferred.
Financial analytics experience preferred.
Managed care claims experience preferred.
Project management experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs required (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat PDF editor.
Ideal candidate will have demonstrated capacity for results-oriented negotiating in managed care environment or healthcare organization
