Position Summary: The Quality Management System Manager (QSM) serves as a partner on the overall vision and design of the department, including operating as a key collaborator with Quality Leaders and business partners bringing best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the departments performance and internal service delivery. The QSM is responsible for the successful coordination and delivery of small-to-medium sized projects or a narrow, well-defined work stream of larger, more complex projects within approved budget, schedule, scope, and quality standards. The incumbent administers a project and throughout all phases of project; develops project plans; communication plans, maintains documentation; analyzes and identifies issues/risks; develops issue resolution and risk mitigation plans to maintain positive project health. The QSM facilitates department and project work processes and implementation and provides infrastructure support, analysis, and research, identification and implementation of best practices that reinforce evolving quality department strategies.
Minimum Requirements: Experience in project management, managing targets and timelines in a quality related field Experience in facilitating groups and managing improvement processes Three years in a quality healthcare setting preferred Five years experience analyzing data and creating presentations Relevant work experience may be substituted for education requirements on a year for year equivalent
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelors degree in healthcare, business or related experience CAPM or PMP certification preferred or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire
