Job Summary
Join us for a career that matters; we are seeking a mission driven medical leader to fulfill a Medical Director position with our Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (CARE).
In this role, you will provide clinical direction, supervision of medical staff, and facility oversight to ensure excellent substance use disorders treatment for patients. As the Medical Director, you will be responsible for directing admissions from multiple referral sources, including jails, hospitals, and community settings. You will work as part of an executive team to devise policy, refine processes, and set standards for patient care.
C.A.R.E. provides residential substance use disorder treatment to adults and kids at five locations statewide - Anoka, Carlton, Fergus Falls, St. Peter, and Willmar. Specialized treatment services include:
Inpatient services for people who are chemically dependent and have a co-occurring mental illness
Relapse prevention services
Aftercare planning
*This role is a hybrid of telework and on-site visits.
Direct Care and Treatment is a unique division of Dept. of Human Services, as the state’s public health system, serving the states’ most vulnerable patients across various unique programs with specialized services to meet each individual’s needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Psychiatrist 3:
Board certified Psychiatrist with specialty experience in substance use disorders
State of Minnesota medical license or ability to obtain Minnesota medical license
Experience working in adult psychiatry in both hospital and outpatient settings
Leadership experience
Minimum Qualifications, if applying as Medical Specialist:
State of Minnesota medical license or ability to obtain Minnesota medical license
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Candidates qualified as a Medical Specialist 3, in lieu of Psychiatry sub-specialty, MUST demonstrate specialty training in addiction medicine
