Environmental Services Operations Manager Community Medical Center Toms River, NJ Full Time Evening
In this key role, the Environmental Services Operations Manager will assist the Director in the operation, administration, and development of the department:
Coordination and responsibility for Housekeeping Workers tasks.
Serve as a liaison between administration and unit departments.
Assist in department management such as employee training, environmental inspections, equipment maintenance, employee evaluation and disciplinary process, and supply inventory.
The qualified individual will assume responsibility for coordinating and supervising the overall operation of the department in the absence of the Director. This will include ensuring the department in is compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Schedule:
10:30 AM-7:00 PM with weekend requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire. Bachelor Degree preferred.
Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in environmental services operations management in a healthcare facility.
CHESP preferred.
Direct experience with supervisory techniques and methods.
Demonstrated self-starter attributes with resourceful approaches to problem resolution.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and department specific orientation.
Knowledge of Hospital Operation and specific kinds of Housekeeping preferred.
Thorough knowledge of housekeeping equipment, supplies required.
