Atlantic Health System is seeking Full-Time Supervisor of Environmental Services at Hackettstown Medical Center. Required hours vary, including weekends.
Responsibilities
Supervises employee s assigned to areas
Checks on assignments given to employees
Makes frequent rounds and inspections. Inspects all floors and makes sure all patient rooms are cleaned and ready. Review appearance of all areas and then takes corrective action if needed
Makes rounds with department managers and makes necessary adjustments to correct recurring situations of deficiencies
Schedules employees work schedules
Schedules employees days to work and days off
Schedules employees vacation, holidays etc.
Maintains employee attendance, documents and, takes disciplinary action when necessary
Adjusts schedules accordingly
Trains and retrains house keeping personnel
Makes sure employees are trained properly according to housekeeping standard
Trains personnel to operate equipment/floor care
Ensures staff is in compliance with OSHA, fire, disaster, right to know and infection control policies
Responds to fire alarms, bomb threats, code Adam and assists as directed by Safety/Security Personnel
Makes sure employees use wet floor signs
Ensures employee compliance of isolation techniques and procedure used in the hospital
Keeps Director and Assistant Director informed of current or changing of employees attitude
Maintains open communication with department employees
Handles patients and nursing complaints or requests
Answers pages and phone complaints. Acts with customer service in mind
Provides appropriate and effective feedback to requesters
Completes and files daily reports with shifts actively
Assign work projects to be done and follow -up to ensure completion
Maintains good public relations throughout hospital with patients and hospital staff personnel
Accepts and completes other duties as they are assigned by Administration, Director or Assistant Director
Quality Assurance Criteria Performs inspections as outlines in quality assurance program (CQI-ISIS)
Completes forms per day- Isolation rooms, patient interview forms.Physical Requirements: As defined by Occupation Safety/OMS

Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be able to read, write and speak/understand English
Must be able to bend/lift/push/pull 50 lbs
Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time
Position includes cleaning of blood and bodily fluids
Great customer service/people skills
Computer skills
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree a plus
Relevant Experience:
Previous Environmental Services leadership experience a plus
