AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway is our newest addition to the AdventHealth family Opening in May 2023. Our new facility is expected to provide up to 700 new jobs in our Pam Coast community. Palm Coast Parkway will be a 100 private bed facility made up of 40 critical care patient rooms and 60 general medical or surgical rooms. Our new hospital services will include Emergency Care, Full-Service Imaging, Pharmacy, 5 operating suites, Endoscopy Suites, Outpatient Lab & Imaging, Hearth Catheterization Labs, and Chapel.
Our new campus will also include a 2-story medical office building providing services in Outpatient Orthopedic Rehab, Cardiology, Gastrointestinal, Surgical, Urology, GYN, and Pulmonary
The role you’ll contribute:
Manages the activities and personnel in the Education Department to provide for the in-service and continuing education needs of employees and the coordination of student group activities. Includes the coordination, preparation, and recordkeeping for all hospital education programs in compliance with accreditation requirements, state laws and regulations.

- Performs the customary duties as Manager of Education providing education and training, in-services, orientation, and internship programs to hospital team member in a manner that encourages high quality patient care, a safe environment, and job satisfaction.
- Assists as needed with coordination of programs and instructs and presents on multiple topics in relation to training needs. Develops instructional materials, evaluates commercially produced
- materials and cooperates with other health system departments and disciplines in utilization of these resources.
- Orientation: Establishes goals and objectives for program implementation and the Education Department. Goals and objectives are developed from annual needs survey, organization vision, meetings with Department Managers and Directors, education staff feedback, reviews of aggregate data, medical staff feedback, and regulatory requirements. Develops staff education programs to achieve identified goals and objectives.
- Supervisory Functions: Discusses and reviews daily activities with supervised employees to ensure direction of activities meet needs and determine if additional resources are required. Delegates assignments as appropriate to supervised team member. Manages activities of Clinical Educators in coordination with nursing and patient care department directors to meet department needs. Performs supervisory functions of personnel in Education Department including coaching, counseling, interviewing, hiring, and evaluating
- Continuing Education/Continued Competency: Supervises the development of continuing education programs following the Florida State Boards of the respective discipline through the outlet determined by the individual campus (example: CE Broker). Assures all programs are reported to CE Broker as required by Florida Law.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor of Science (BSN) OR Master of Science (MSN) degree
- Three-five years of educational experience including some clinical
- Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Previous teaching experience in formal/informal settings
- Manager of Education is expected to be fully productive within one year of employment
- Current, valid Florida State of Nursing license as a registered professional nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
- Advanced Life Support Provider Certification, per specialty
