The role you’ll contribute:
The Shuttle Driver makes scheduled and unscheduled trips to various facilities to pick up patients as directed by the centers or Supervisor. Coordinates the department’s response to requests for service. Maintains and cleans vehicles. The shuttle driver communicates with the customer and the centers to facilitate patient transportation needs. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan, rules and regulations. Adheres to applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Makes scheduled and unscheduled trips to various facilities to pick up patients in a timely and efficient manner.
Obeys all local and state traffic regulations and remains cognizant of passenger safety.
Communicates clearly with all facilities and other drivers to coordinate patient pick-ups and drop-offs. Documents all pertinent trip information and Center wait times on Driver Log.
Maintains assigned vehicle in clean and suitable condition. Refuels vehicles and replaces all used items. Inspects vehicle and equipment daily and documents condition on required paperwork. Notifies supervisor of any vehicle maintenance issues or defective equipment.
Communicates to Hotel/Motel Management services available at facility and promotes the organization in a positive manner.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the tourism areas
Valid State of Florida Class E license
DOT Medical Certificate
Safe driving record for past 3 years with appropriate licensing
CPR Certification
Preferred qualifications:
Experience driving 8 passenger vehicles and above
