The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease
The role you’ll contribute:
The Clinical Registered Dietitian utilizes the hospital's policies, procedures, and protocols to consult with patients. Provides general nutrition assessment, nutrition risks, and expert assessment of nutritional status. Recommends and implements nutrition intervention and therapy; educates and explains to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and follows-up plans of care to measure and respond to outcomes. Supports departmental goals and objectives. Documents in the medical record according to hospital policies and protocols. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Provides nutrition consultation at the Center for Obesity Medicine, AHMG Executive Health Program, Fitness Center, and other departments as needed.
Conducts nutritional consults to identify risks, recommends plan of care, and provides education and support.
Collects data, tracks, and reports outcomes as requested by Program Director to facilitate improved standards of care; participates in research as opportunities arise.
Participates as an expert in teaching classes such as POWER (Program for Obesity, Wellness, Energy and Revitalization, weight loss and cooking classes).
Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss plan of care for patients.
Serves as a resource for program development for future classes after assessing the needs.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or nutrition-related field
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master of Science degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or nutrition-related field
Experience in using Cerner Medical Record
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Current, active State of Florida Department of Health Dietitian/Nutritionist license
