Pulls supplies for OR cases. Provides in depth knowledge of ORCORE supplies as it relates to case and physician preference.What you will do:Performs inventory control activities to provide medical supplies in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner for assigned perpetual inventories in accordance with professional standards and established internal procedures.Determines and establishes proper storage methods, signage, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors, process efficiency, and physical layout of facilities.Acts as subject matter expert for supply readiness for multiple supply storage areas.Examines and inspects stock items for wear, defects, and expiration. Monitors for low stock and stock out situations and identifies potential supply availability issues, reporting to supervisor as appropriate.Uses materials management information systems to accurately load and unload supply tracking devices at point of use.Performs routine and comprehensive spot checks of on-hand inventory in assigned supply locations to identify and resolve any potential supply availability issues.Performs activities for addressing back-orders, stock-outs, substitutes, trials, conversions, and recalls. Conducts cycle counts of inventories in accordance with professional standards and established internal procedures and assists with physical inventories twice per year.Generates surgical schedule reports from electronic medical records systems and pulls from inventory and makes ready for immediate use soft goods and supplies for medical procedures accurately using system-generated pick list.Prepares supplies on case carts for add-on surgical cases on a demand basis.Forecasts future supply demand and communicates with clinical teams, supervisor, and buyers to ensure supply readiness in advance of scheduled procedures.Collaborates with the Supervisor and clinical staff regarding schedule changes and supply needs above standard set stock levels.Act as subject matter expert on physician preference for surgery supplies. Provides in-depth knowledge of procedure-specific supplies as it relates to case and physician preferences, and coordinates with clinical staff in patient care areas to locate supplies during surgery.  As needed, obtains and delivers additional supplies before or during procedures.Provides customer service that improves the patient experience.Identifies ways to improve work processes, communication, and improve customer satisfaction and builds relationships to promote a collaborative environment.Maintains neat and orderly supply storage areas in the perioperative environment.Demonstrates advanced competence in accessing information and performing complex analytical tasks. Assists with routine documentation and reporting of metrics and Key Performance Indicators and supply use statistics as directed by supervisor.Seeks opportunities to expand learning with a focus on continuous process improvement and lean processes.Maintains familiarity with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements and the rules, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the industry to include Joint Commission standards and Infection Prevention guidelines.Has proficiency in human allograft tissue management and follows applicable regulatory requirements regarding tissue receipt, in-processing, handling, and inventory tracking.Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.Perform other duties as assigned.
