Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) is searching for a Sterile Processing professional who has a combination of industry knowledge, highly skilled in presenting content, a creative flair and one who will share our passion to support our members. We are seeking a Clinical Educator who will bring new ideas, technology and approaches to HSPA.

Overview:
In supporting HSPA’s education efforts and reporting to the Education Director, your role as Clinical Educator will be to work collaboratively with the education department to identify and develop high-quality educational offerings such as publications, webinars, podcasts, and lesson plans.
Responsibilities:
Content Development: Plan and develop educational programs, podcasts, online courses and webinars, lesson plans and annual conferences to provide Sterile Processing-related education for our members and certification holders.
Research and Preparation: Research topics related to Sterile Processing, including new regulations, standards, guidelines, and industry trends for educational programs.
Hosting and Presenting: Assist with presenting or hosting podcasts and webinars and representing HSPA by speaking at industry meetings and events.
Publication Development: Contribute to writing, reviewing, and editing HSPA’s textbooks, manuals and other publications to ensure they reflect current industry standards and regulations.
Education Committee Management Assistance: Enhance the organization’s educational offerings by assisting with the management of education committees.
Industry Committee Representation: Represent HSPA by serving on committees that develop Sterile Processing-related standards and guidelines.
Member Support: Serve as a clinical resource to HSPA members by assisting with their questions and providing supportive resources, whenever possible, to support best practices current standards and guidelines.
Continuing Education (CE) Approval Requests: Review CE approval requests to ensure the offerings meet HSPA requirements.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
CRCST or CSPDT Certification required (CSPDT candidates would be required to successfully obtain CRCST Certification within (60) days of joining HSPA)
CRCST, CHL, CIS, CER preferred
5+ years of professional Sterile Processing experience
Computer literacy, Office 365
Travel to industry events throughout the year, to our annual conference and a quarterly visit to our Illinois office.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience speaking on Sterile Processing technical topics
Experience with standard and guideline development
Highly skilled in project management skills
Experience with sterile processing teaching and training
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Experience writing and reviewing educational materials
