St. Louis Children's Hospital is looking for a Project Lead in their Groundskeeping Department. In this role, you will report to the Facilities Manager and take on the support of the Building and Grounds Department in developing facilities programs to include but not limited to Horticulture/Grounds, Life/Safety, daily facilities operations and assigned ad hoc projects. Prepare reports that provide detailed project status information and departmental updates. Partner with various stakeholders and vendors to maintain communications and promote organizational transparency, overall ensuring there is organizational effectives from a project perspective. Work under the direction of the Facilities Manager while partnering with supervisors, lead, and technical staff to coordinate department deliverables.

Role Purpose
Provides leadership to maintain the building systems. Assist the Supervisor in work assignment priorities, work schedules and works with employees as a team on assignments. Ensures timely completion of work request and responds to emergencies. Ensures appropriate safety gear and precautions are utilized. Insures shop supplies and inventory level is maintained so that work is never interrupted for out of stock supplies. Is capable of accomplishing the most difficult repairs and overhauls on any of the equipment in any facility in the system.
Responsibilities
Coordinates work requests, responds to emergencies and provides leadership for shop craftsman under the direction of the supervisor.
Ensures all routine, safety and rounds work orders are completed and closed.
Repairs, maintains and overhauls mechanical equipment.
Performs all aspects of routine and critical equipment preventative maintenance on schedule and in accordance with department standards.
