Under general supervision, and according to established policies, procedures, guidelines and principles, performs the duties of a supervisor of hospital site linen distribution.
Develops employee work and route schedules.
Evaluates, selects and trains new employees with the approval of the System Service Manager.
Maintains employee time cards and hours.
Conducts daily rounds at site user areas.
Reviews and is accountable for staff service performance.
Interacts with union steward and other hospital personnel to effectively deal with issues and problems.
Implements new programs and procedures as directed.
Reviews and provides reports on an ongoing basis.
Communicates daily with laundry staff to adjust linen orders, report linen quality or shortage issues and monitors linen deliveries.
Maintains a clean, orderly and safe linen room operation Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies.
As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations.
Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 5 years experience in a production distribution.
