Job Description:

Reviews patient’s history and educates patient about the procedure. Monitors and documents patient’s condition, responding to and reporting any adverse reactions. Identifies and corrects artifacts during EEG procedures. Edits and forwards results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation. Scores, graphs, analyzes, documents, and reports results of diagnostic procedures. Participates in departmental and organizational programs and staff development. Helps train Tech I, Tech II, and students. Fulfills on-call requirements as per department policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs routine and complex EEGs, including video EEG in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Long Term EEG Monitoring. Conducts monitoring of epilepsy surgery EEG and evoked potentials. Applies electrodes in accordance with the ACNS guidelines.

Associate (Required)Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Electroencephalography Technician (REEGT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Evoked Potentials Technologist (REPT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range:

$26.89 - $50.01
